The Barn, Ipstones, a beautiful, historic, listed building, affords our guests four star rated bed & breakfast accommodation, in an idyllic, stunning location of rolling, verdant pastureland, ancient woodland and breathtaking views of almost 20 miles. Situated on the south western edge of the Peak Park, The Barn is a walkers’ paradise, with public footpaths easily accessible from our own 12 acres of land.

Located in the middle of England, we are an ideal country getaway at the end of a busy working week.

Our small working farm provides produce for our sumptuous breakfasts, including our own pork sausages, bacon, eggs and home-made bread and jams. We can offer beginners’ courses for smallholders, providing hands-on experience with our own livestock. Courses in all aspects of floristry are also available here at The Barn.

For those wishing to explore the area, Ashbourne, Buxton, Leek, Dovedale, the Tissington and Manifold Trails, Carsington Water, Rudyard Lake and the dramatic Peak District National Park are all within short driving distances.

Evening Meals and Snacks are available, if you prefer to eat at The Barn at the end of the day.

The Barn is open all year and is a NO SMOKING establishment.
